We find ourselves in the field of force of Pavel Farský‘s pictures where the entire fierce power is directed to the recording of human existence, to an uncluttered gesture of a figure. These figures are in tune with the painter‘s psyche, they can stand firmly but they mostly miss this firmness, and their pictorial drama lies in the finding of stability and in the finding of elements that appeal to people as the elements refuse any calligraphy, description or illustration.
As for the colours used by the artist, I would like to offer an example from the non-material sphere of art - music. Composer Arvo Pärt once described one of his excellent pieces called “White Light“ using words about “sufficiency“ of one white colour : “A perceptive viewer can sense all the other colours in the one colour as all the other colours are contained in it“.
Equally, the limited range of colours in Pavel Farský‘s pictures induces viewer‘s fantasy and creative participation in order to crown the artistic work. In this sense, Pavel Farský‘s works of art (almost conceptually viewed) do not actually try to attract attention but they are self-evident part of life in its order as well as in its randomness.
